Order 890 Customer Involvement

On February 15, 2007 the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) published Order 890, which modifies its pro forma transmission Tariff and directs a number of changes and requirements that are designed to ensure non-discriminatory open access to transmission service.

FERC's intent is to strengthen existing rules for remedying undue discrimination and to provide greater specificity and transparency to reduce opportunities for discrimination.

News and Notices

As of July 13, 2007, Transmission Services is continuing to operate under its current OATT, posted business practices and bulletins.

Transmission Services plans to make an Order 890 filing with FERC later this year or early next year following the close of the public process. Shortly before filing, Transmission Services will make an additional posting to convey timelines for implementation of its new OATT.

During the NT Conditional Firm Customer Call on Thursday, September 20th, the question was asked of where the data could be found for the last three years of network line loadings on the internal flowgates.

To find this data, access Transmission Services' external website and under "Planning and Projects", click on "Operations Information (OPI)", then go to 3: Intertie, Cutplane and Internal Flowgate Analysis and finally to Internal Flowgates. Once there, the Current Flowgate Load provides the last 30 days of data and the Historical Monthly Flowgate Loadings provide the last three years.
