Arlington CEP Interconnection
Columbia Energy Partners (CEP) has submitted a generation interconnection request to BPA to integrate up to 200 megawatts (MW) of electricity generated from the Arlington CEP Wind Project in Gilliam County, Ore. to the Federal Columbia River Transmission System (FCRTS).
Interconnection would occur at BPA's new Jones Canyon substation, which is connected to the McNary-Santiam 230-kilovolt transmission line about 2 miles south of the town of Arlington, Ore. The power will be delivered from a collector substation that CEP would construct and own on the wind project site adjacent to the Jones Canyon substation.
Construction was completed on the Jones Canyon substation for Leaning Juniper in July 2006. A tiered Record of Decision under the Business Plan Environmental Impact Statement was issued in January 2005. As a result of the tiered ROD, BPA offered contract terms for interconnection of 200 MW of power from the wind project into the FCRTS. BPA is waiting to receive a project schedule from CEP.
