Order 890 Customer Involvement On February 15, 2007 the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) published Order 890, which modifies its pro forma transmission Tariff and directs a number of changes and requirements that are designed to ensure non-discriminatory open access to transmission service. FERC's intent is to strengthen existing rules for remedying undue discrimination and to provide greater specificity and transparency to reduce opportunities for discrimination.
